An early to mid 19th c American wallpaper-covered cardboard box in the shape of a top hat. The cardboard is sewn and glued together. It is appropriately inscribed “1 Hat” on the lid top; the interior is of uncovered cardboard. It is approximately 9” high and 13” at its widest part. It has scattered wallpaper losses, cardboard separations, dings, and bends. The lid and base have each warped a bit. (# 192383)
