This is a c 1860 2-piece orange and brown mottled wool twill child's ensemble comprising a dress and overskirt. It is decorated with white and purple braid trim, a self bow at the back, and embroidered eyelet edging at neck. The overskirt is attached with an eye and hook. The condition of this little Civil War era dress is quite good. Its buttons are missing, there is a stain on the braid trim at the front (photo provided), and some wear to the trim especially around the neck. It is 19.5" from front neck to bottom of skirt and 22" around the waist.  (# 202442)
